Sarah Lina Sparks
Sarah Lina Sparks is a mixed race Filipina creative writer and undergraduate theatre student at UCLA. She has written both plays and musicals and her works are largely inspired by her Filipino heritage, feminist issues, and the unique experience of growing up in the new millennia. Recent projects include a staged reading of Halo Halo: A Mix Mix of Mythologies directed by Giovanni Ortega in the Nexus Festival hosted by Third Culture Theatre, and a production of her play, The C Word at UCLA. Honors and awards include International Thespian Festival’s Next Generation Playworks winner, honorable mention in the Student Jane Chambers Playwriting Contest, and Third Culture Theatre’s LA Youth Playwright.
She is currently seeking internships, opportunities, and inquiries in script writing and show writing for live and themed entertainment.
